How to Add a Cleaning Template or Contractor Checklist to a Property in PropertyStack

Create and manage cleaning templates or contractor checklists in PropertyStack for a streamlined property management workflow.

Step 1: Navigate to the Templates Section

  1. Click on the Settings icon from the left-side menu.

  2. Select Templates from the available options.

  3. Click on the Contractor Checklist tab.

  4. Click on Add Template to create a new checklist template.


Step 2: Enter Template Details

  1. Choose a Template Category (e.g., Cleaning, Electrical, Plumbing, etc.).

  2. Enter the Template Name (e.g., "General Cleaning Template").

  3. Provide a Description for the checklist.

  4. Toggle the Group option if you want to organize the checklist by groups (e.g., Bedroom, Bathroom).


Step 3: Add a Group to the Checklist

  1. Click on Add Group to categorize tasks under specific areas.

  2. Enter a Group Name (e.g., "Bedroom").

  3. Select the Type (e.g., Bedroom, Bathroom, Others).

  4. Click Add Group to save the changes.


Step 4: Add a Checklist Item

  1. Click on Add Checklist to include specific tasks.

  2. Enter a Checklist Name (e.g., "Linen").

  3. Provide a Checklist Description (e.g., "Change the linen.").

  4. Optionally, upload a Reference Image for better clarity.

  5. Click Add Checklist to finalize the entry.


Step 5: Assign Properties to the Checklist

  1. In the Edit Checklist Template screen, click on Manage Properties.

  2. Select the properties to which you want to apply this checklist.

  3. Click Select Property to confirm.

    1. If you want to select a single property then click on the check box next to the property and click "Select Property".

    2. If you want the checklist to be applied to all properties then simply click on "Select All" and click on "Select Property".


Step 6: Activate the Checklist

  1. Ensure the Active Status toggle is enabled.

  2. Click Save to finalize and activate the template.
