How do I create automations in Propertystack

Objective:

Learn how to create your first automated workflow in PropertyStack and activate it.

In this Article, You Will Learn How to:

  • Navigate to the Automation settings in PropertyStack.

  • Add and configure a new automation flow.

  • Activate the automation for use.

Step 1: Navigate to Automation Settings

  1. Log into your PropertyStack dashboard.

  2. Click on the 'Settings' section on the left-hand sidebar. (See red box in Image 1)

  3. Within the drop-down, select 'Automation'. (See red box in Image 1)

  4. In the Automation view, click the '+ Add Group' button at the top.


Step 2: Add and Configure a New Automation Flow

  1. Locate the group you created and click on the three vertical dots next to the group name. (See red box in Image 2)

  1. Select 'Add' from the dropdown menu.

  2. Fill in the necessary details in the 'Add New Automation Flow' dialog:

    • Flow Name: Enter a descriptive name for your automation flow.

    • Flow Description: Provide a brief description of what this flow will accomplish.

    • Send Via: Choose the communication method (e.g., Text, Email).

    • Trigger Type: Select the event that will trigger this automation (e.g., At Confirmation, Check In, Check Out).

    • Trigger On: Specify the condition or timing for the trigger.

    • Send To: Choose the recipient group (e.g., Guests).

    • Message Content: Write the message that will be sent.

Step 3: Select Properties and Activate the Automation

  1. Click on the field under '0 Properties Selected' to choose the properties this automation will apply to.

  2. A list of your properties will appear; select the ones you want to include in this automation flow.

  1. After configuring the flow and selecting properties, make sure the toggle switch for the automation is set to 'Active'.
